FWIW, the Measurement Computing PCI-DAS 4020/12 that we're currently
using uses the PLX 9080 as the PCI interface. Nice part, good docs,
bus mastering, scatter gather, and we've already got a linux driver
that talks to it (mc4020-0.6.tar.gz)

The current limiting factor is the host controller. The USB card
can saturate the USB.
