Ian Kelling, 2016: "A catalog of free software that anyone can edit." -
https://directory.fsf.org/wiki?title=Main_Page&diff=37728&oldid=37631

David Hedlund and Richard Stallman, 2018: "A catalog of free software
for GNU-like operating systems" -
https://directory.fsf.org/wiki?title=Main_Page&diff=70114&oldid=69766

Lorenzo, 2020: "A collaborative catalog of free software." -

I copied https://directory.fsf.org/wiki/Main_Page to
https://directory.fsf.org/wiki/User:Backlog_Admin_Group/Main_page and
modified it:
* I restored the slogan "A catalog of free software for GNU-like
operating systems"
* and added replaced the text "Free software is a matter of liberty, not
price. Think of “free” as in “free speech”, not as in “free beer”. Free
software is a matter of the users' freedom to run, copy, distribute,
study, change and improve the software." at the top in the yellow box
with the about text: "We catalog useful free software that runs under
free GNU-like systems, not limited to the GNU operating system and its
free GNU/Linux distributions. If they don't currently run on GNU, at
least it probably isn't hard to adapt them to run on GNU. Many of those
programs also runs on proprietary operating systems which can be used to
replace nonfree software."

I think this should prevent repeating confusion.

I recommended them to evaluate the programs listed in
https://directory.fsf.org/wiki/Collection:Replicant to create a
mini-repository.
