I thought I'd try that, but I got
# dpkg -i *denemo*2.2*_amd64.deb
Selecting previously unselected package denemo-dbgsym.
(Reading database ... 235700 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to unpack denemo-dbgsym_2.2.11_amd64.deb ...
Unpacking denemo-dbgsym (2.2.11) ...
dpkg: error processing archive denemo-dbgsym_2.2.11_amd64.deb (--install):
unable to sync new file '/var/lib/dpkg/info/denemo-dbgsym.list-new': Structure
needs cleaning
Errors were encountered while processing:
denemo-dbgsym_2.2.11_amd64.deb
So then I tried to fire up synaptic to uninstall the Denemo I have
installed in the system and it wouldn't work giving an error message on
startup:
E: The package denemo-dbgsym needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an
archive for it.
E: Internal error opening cache (1). Please report.
Which I think means I have a corrupted file system. This may take some
sorting out ...
