I misunderstood. I assumed the quote meant that the pdf became named by the tagline.I have just set a tagline, and renamed the score by saving it as the new name, of course, and the pdf is still the (new) filename_DefaultScoreLayout.pdf.
which is fine; just thought I might have found a way of automatically naming pdfs!

This is a different topic - if you have not set a tagline in a Denemo score then every time you open it it sets the tagline to the filename and current date.
