well, off the top of my head, replace it with \transpose c c
which will do nothing.
You *can* of course delete any directive, Staff->Edit Directives
Staff->Voice->Edit Directives
but that is a slightly low level command (it names the directive by its
tag, which would be obscure to a non-English speaker).
