Yes, that message was put there by the coder of the real time
playback/midi input threads.
The only new thing I can see with your output is a lot of invalid
strings being formatted - this message usually arises through attempts
to write labels on buttons where the text string is not being pointed to
correctly. I spent some time tracking down the origin of the first error
messages without arriving at anything easy to pin down.

I will get some more xp boxes to test myself - if you are able to
install pm defaults (from the portmidi site) and see if setting up the
default improves things that would be good to know. It would also be
good to know if the program does actually work, aside from the MIDI in.
