yes. In my case 
ls /usr/local/share/locale/cs/LC_MESSAGES
denemo.mo

as the install is in /usr/local
I encourage you to try building denemo from source, I have guided
several people through doing this and consequently the list of packages
to install is quite complete I think.
Packages to install in order to build Denemo: 
guile-1.8-dev, libaubio-dev, portaudio19-dev, libfftw3-dev,
libgtk2.0-dev, 
libxml2-dev, automake, libtool, 
libgtksourceview2.0-dev, libfluidsynth-dev, autoconf, 
automake1.11, libsmf-dev (>= 1.3), autopoint, librsvg2-dev,
libportmidi-dev, libsndfile1-dev. libevince-dev 
librsvg2-dev

With all these install, you should have no difficulty building and
installing denemo and you will then see the translation.
