I mentioned this because typically we sharpen leading notes - it could
be that an attractive performance could be created by setting the
(chordal) accompanying instrument in mean tone with the solo part in
some other temperament. Or, better, a script that analyses the notes
sounding at any one point and chooses the intonation for them. I've an
idea there may be some single-note tuning protocols in MIDI too.

It is almost certain to work on windows, as we build the latest
fluidsynth for it. It is my sorry old Debian box that has problems being
stuck with software releases from earlier in the century:)
