Follow-up Comment #1:

ok, it was segfaulting on determining the time of the leftmost measure, a new
piece of code that didn't defend itself against unequal lengths. 
You mention "no segfault" - I guess the segfault is intercepted by the signal
handling code that tries to save the work in progress...
I don't see those
(denemo:14088): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL'
failed 
messages - they look bad!
