Problem in downloading dejagnu from CVS

Hello,
I am trying to download dejagnu from main line dejagnu CVS tree.
I have followed the document at 
Downloading DejaGnu at "http://www.gnu.org/software/dejagnu/";
but got following error:

:ext:address@hidden:/cvsroot/dejagnu login
cvs login: can only use `login' command with the 'pserver' method
cvs [login aborted]: CVSROOT:
:ext:address@hidden:/cvsroot/dejagnu

then I tried same command by 'pserver' method then it asked to enter
password, I pressed just enter as mentioned in document, but got
timeout..
