Hi --

We have seen this problem with all (or most) macOS builds of DDD.

There is some suspicion that this is a build issue involving static vs 
dynamic libraries.  Unfortunately, we don't have a macOS system or 
adequate understanding of macOS to investigate further.

We are looking for someone who can investigate macOS issues.
