DDD 3.3.11 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) gets `Speicherzugriffsfehler' signal

Frohe Ostern,
since some time (sorry, I don't remember when it started...) _starting_
ddd always kills the Xserver after a seg fault in (I'm back at the gdm
login). Doesn't matter if I use the unstable Debian package of ddd or -
like in this case - a version which I compiled from the sources of ddd.
I can't kill the Xserver with any other daily used application (firefox,
gvim, evolution, xxgdb/gdb...). Maybe it is related to *tif, because ddd
is the only Motif/lesstif app used on my system (afaik).
