How do I tell DDD where to look for my shared object libraries ?

I tried putting a path in both of the following fields:

Edit -> GDB Settings -> Search path for loading non-absolute shared library symbo Edit -> GDB Settings -> Prefix for loading absolute shared library symbol files

but still DDD won't run my software because it cannot find the shared library. I can't find any information in the DDD manual on how to do this. The 'help' window mentions something about 'set solib-search-path' so I tried setting that but the debugger still cannot find my shared object library.

Thanks,
K
