dear ddd developers, i am a satisfied user of your ddd 3.3.1 on the
platforms i am maintaining (linux on pc's, digital-unix on alphas, solaris
on suns). i have installed everywhere ddd with gcc 2.95.*.

now i have a brand new linux machine where the compiler is gcc 3.0.2; and
g++ barfs on:

make[1]: Entering directory `/home/loreti/work/ddd-3.3.1/ddd'
c++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I. -I./.. -isystem /home/loreti/include
-isystem /usr/X11R6/include    -DNDEBUG -O2 -g -W -Wall -trigraphs -c
In file included from logplayer.C:46:
/home/loreti/include/g++-v3/backward/fstream.h:38: using directive
`streampos' introduced ambiguous type `streampos'
make[1]: *** [logplayer.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/loreti/work/ddd-3.3.1/ddd'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

i had a lot of troubles moving code that uses streambufs and friends from
gcc/g++ 2.95 to the more standard conforming gcc v3; and i want to leave
this problem to you to be solved :-)

        thank you in advance for any hint you may have, M.
