I did a new clean installation of Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) and
compiled a new kernel from ubuntu's 'linux-source-2.6.24'. Here are
some key details: I downloaded the patch- http://dazuko.dnsalias.org/files/patch-dazuko-linux-2.6.24.diff.gz and patched the kernel '.config' -file: # zcat patch-dazuko-linux-2.6.24.diff.gz | patch -p1 I used your proposed 'hooks.c'-file and changed the file in /usr/src/linux/security/dazuko/ Manually changed the 'Makefile' for the kernel security code with (dazuko before apparmor): obj-$(CONFIG_SECURITY_DAZUKO) += commoncap.o dazuko/built-in.o # make menuconfig Settings: [ ] NSA SELinux Support (=No support) [* ] AppArmor support [* ] Dazuko Support [* ]Dazuko boot parameter [1]Dazuko boot parameter default value Compiled ok! I installed Avira AntiVir Personal and installed AvGuard on-access scanner. AvGuard: 'k'- selection, which means "Dazuko is always loaded" Testing with an Anti-Malware testfile- eicar (done at your own risk- read the info!) and Avira AntiVir catch the eicar-file "on-access". Note that the free AntiVir not search archives. It seems that it's working! Sending you the requested files: /usr/src/linux/security/Makefile /usr/src/linux/include/linux/security.h Thanks for your help! /Michael John Ogness skrev: I have problem with Dazuko 2.3.5 Linux 2.6.24 patch. I'm trying to compile dazuko 2.3.5 into the kernel 2.6.24.19 of Ubuntu.Could you try it with the "hooks.c" file I sent in my last email to the dazuko-help mailing list? It may work for you also. Could you send me your original "include/linux/security.h" and "security/Makefile" files? John Ogness |
