Good
morning!
2 questions I would
greatly appreciate any assistance with:
1. We are
attempting to use Dazuko 2.3.4 on a FreeBSD 6.2 machine without
success.
> Configure
command is: ./configure
--enable-event-unlink --enable-event-rmdir
--enable-event-close-modified
> Make compiles
without any warnings or errors
> Kernel module
loads fine - correct versions come up in the Console debug.
> Example code
compiles fine.
However, when the
example code monitors a directory - i.e. a home directory in /usr/home (not a
symlink), the system either (a) hangs, or (b) errors with a kernel
panic.
The kernel panic
says: lockmgr: thread 0x... not exclusive lock holder 0x ...
Would anybody know
how to start diagnosing and fixing this issue? Please do let us know if any
extra information is required.
2. Dazuko
2.3.2 on FreeBSD 6.2 machine works, but does not return
ON_CLOSE_MODIFIED events.
> Configure
command is: ./configure
--enable-event-unlink --enable-event-rmdir
--enable-event-close-modified
> Make compiles
without any warnings or errors
> Kernel module
loads fine - correct versions come up in the Console debug (in this case 2.3.2
instead of the above)
> Example program monitors directory
works (i.e. no panic like with 2.3.4) with success for
OPEN and CLOSE events, but does not return any CLOSE_MODIFIED
events.
The file is definitely being modified (by
opening in vi, and adding text, and saving) and the module is the correct
version, with the correct configure options.
I have noted a few posts about Question 2
before but, apart from suggestions (which are excellent and have been tried),
there is never a post that indicates what was done to solve the problem - hence
this post.
I would be grateful for any
help.
Regards,
Mark
