There have been only minor (documentation and test-suite-related)
changes since coreutils-5.1.3, and no one has reported significant
problems or bugs, so I'm calling this a `stable' release.

There have been far too many changes since 5.0 to enumerate them here.

Note, however, that the NEWS file is the only part of that coreutils
CVS repository that is up to date.  With a little luck, the savannah
coreutils repository will soon resume synching from the master one.
