Hardly, since it depends on the path setting for the test. You could to try to pick up specific apis by using aclocal-17 directly. If it;s not installed, than the system maybe doesn't have aclocal 1.7 installed. I have no idea how well this works with the different mechanisms different systems have employed to work out coexistance of different autotools apis.
anyway, I thought that autoreconf took care of picking the right versions automatically. Can't we just have
autoreconf in autogen.sh and be done with it? cheers, dalibor topic
