Yes, except I didn't know how to tell the makefile to use -O3 so I changed
the C_COMPILER_OPTIMIZATION_OPTIONS after the else in Makefile.linux to
match the line before the else.

su

ctrl-d to exit to user shell
make PLATFORM=linux check
