Maybe this is a stupid question, but how do mbox and mbox-string differ?

You'll hear from me, as soon as I find anything, I promise.

I don't want to provoke a bikeshed, but would you mind releasing mbox
under less restrictive conditions than GPLv3? I think this makes sense
for a small library like this.
