As far as I know, there hasn't been a single automated attack against
a wiki powered by svnwiki (but there's probably going to be one at
some point).

Hahah, actually, you see, a sudoku challenge would be pretty easy for
a machine to solve!  I've even made code available to do it.  But,
then again, I guess a lot of people would start contributing to the
wiki, to prove how good they are at solving sudokus. :P

I think a good alternative would be to only enable captchas or require
authentication when a given IP address is editing more than a certain
number of files in a given time period.  For example, let regular
users edit up to three pages per day, require a captcha to be solved
when they are editing up to 10 pages per day and from that point on
require authentication.  Mario gave me this idea in a private message
he sent me.
