Hm. This is difficult. You might want to check

this wiki orginated in the #scheme IRC channel on freenode.
The folks there are quite nice and (usually) more pragmatic than
the c.l.s'lers (but of course you'll find purists and preachers
everywhere...).

Well, I can understand that. I read c.l.s. to keep up to date, but most
discussions there are dry, or (IMHO) too much CS-centric. I'm looking
for a more practically oriented Scheme community myself, but I can't
find it... :-)
