How do you know that nobody cares about Windows? I feel an urge to
cringe, whenever I hear such claims. And who cares about NetBSD,
anyway?
What if someone submits a patch for some exotic hardware platform?
Will we be unable to accept it, just because we can't test it?
If the patch doesn't break anything and if it looks acceptable,
why not add it, in the hope of giving more users the opportunity
to try out chicken, and perhaps help in fixing any remaining
bugs.
Moreover, we can not expect that someone will come up who tests
the change. IME that happens rarely. People usually appear suddenly,
contribute something and vanish again. This isn't the worst model,
though. But one has face the fact that in the end it is yourself
who has to do the work.
