It's a sun4u machine and 64-bit Solaris is installed. Some binaries on
the system are indeed 64-bit, but in most cases I'm building 32-bit in
order to link against libraries from sunfreeware packages. The same
accounts for my Solaris10 machine (equipped with SunStudio) at home
which I already mentioned earlier.

 Unix _IS_ user friendly - it's just selective about who its friends are !
