Did you try to subscribe and were rejected ?
If so, then please tell me the exact procedure you tried.

I found your original mail pending in the spam filter which
lets me (and GNU personel) first check mails from non-subscribers
before they get to the list.

The drive might support the Drive Serial Number feature (108h)
which tells the serial number, and the Media Serial Number
feature (109h) which indicates that SCSI command ABh READ MEDIA
SERIAL NUMBER is available.

Currently libburn does not retrieve these informations.
But there is already test code for Drive Serial Number in
libburn/mmc which will get enabled by macro
(This is only for development. No API functions exist yet
 to forward this to the application.)

There are no hidden tracks possible with DVD and BD media,
at least not with consumer drives.

So you probably need a new plan for the hiding or encryption.

Further you would need one or two new libburn API calls
for drive and media serial number.
