thanks! I thought of the brute force method, but it takes a while to write that out (it's an NFS mount), and I wasn't particularly happy about wasting the space.

I'll be offline all of today, but I'll try your other suggestions and/or new code as soon as I get a chance. Thanks for your prompt attention!

Hi,

me:
One brute-force candidate would be to curb media capacities to 2 TB - 2 kB

I miscalculated the error limit. It is 4 TB - 2 kB.

This would open another short term brute force method:
Occupy enough bytes in the array to bring the free space below 4 TB.
The number of -2036700157s says that 2,258,267,139 * 2 kB are free.
So you had 110,783,491 * 2 kB = 212 GB too many when the error appeared.

The change in libburn/sg-linux.c seems to work well for me.
Media summary: 1 session, 34 data blocks, 68.0k data, 4096g free
But i would prefer if the free space would be predicted accurately.
So i will now lift this safety cap and try to fix all spots where
4.5 TB might be of harm.

Have a nice day :)
