Perhaps there is some kind of signal from the OS, unfortunately without gtkmacintegrationā€™s help, there is no way to detect if VO is running.

Thanks.
Why do not include a simple feature which will be available only if VO is running, that provide a sort of simple textboxes: one, larger and above, captures the stdin with the engine traffic, maybe stripped a bit from the unwanted data, and two, lower and small that allow blind user to input direct command to the engines.
That's will simplify a bit the direct dialogue between human and engine via the terminal: you know, if the user is skilled, is not easy to speak UCI, LOL.
It doesn't matter to have the chessboard accessible, althought it could be easily done in HTML, the most important would be to have command to start and stop engine, to ask time clock for white and blak, to enter moves, to ask the best line of analysys, to offer draw or surrender. Thinks like that.
If your provide a simple module like this your software will be really for all and wyou will be the first serious app to study and play chess on Mac.
Moreover, these features could be totally hidden to the sighted user, so other people won't complain about unwanted and stranges textboxes here and there.

Thank you very much for you answer and time.

Gabriel.
