I just noticed that the seekgraph dots don’t automatically remove dots anymore
when the seek ends, this is in FICS.
I see seek dots disappear from the graph when I logon to FICS. Are you sure Auto-refresh Seek Graph is ticked? It could also be a FICS problem; you need some support available only through ivars to be informed of seek-ad expiration. But I think XBoard should set the required ivar automatically when the auto-refresh option is on.

You remark led me to a WinBoard bug, however! 8-)

Turns out when you display the board with a border around it (unlike XBoard, WinBoard can do that), the seek graph is not aware of the border, and is drawn starting in the upper left corner, with the size of the board, rather than the size of the board+border. I guess I should scale it up to cover board+border, rather than shift it to just cover the board. No reason I can see to keep displaying a border around the seek graph.
