WinBoard doesn't need a WinBoard.ini file to run -- it uses built-in
defaults if there is no file.  You can start with an empty file, or
(probably easier) you can use Save Settings Now to make WinBoard
create one, then edit that.

You probably will also want to right-click on the Crafty menu entry and
look at its properties.  The installer puts the settings for running
Crafty on the command line, and they aren't compiled into the defaults
for the WinBoard startup dialog.  You can add them into the startup
dialog yourself once you have a WinBoard.ini file.
