Hi,

I have tired everywhere including Bob Hyatt.
Can you please email me and attach the speak.exe file, which I need to get
sound working on my crafty.

I do not see a reference to "Speak.exe" that I mentioned. You must have
that in your home directory. A google search should discover one
somewhere that you can download (I don't have one as it is a windows
executable and I only use linux here).

You must create a crafty.rc file yourself as I explained in my last
email. In that simple text file, you need one line that says "speach
on" without the quotes.

Until you have both of those things done, it won't work. xboard sound
settings have absolutely no effect on crafty's speech output.
