Hi Pop,
As far as I can see, even
@defun foo
and
@defun foo
have the same spacing. I can easily believe that spaces after the first
@def arg can be significant (haven't checked). I was talking about
spaces directly after the command name. Ignoring of those happens very
deeply inside TeX.
