Subject: Directory path in standalone Info
Is there a way of examining and/or adjusting standalone Info's default
directory path? The only way I can see, so far, of examining it is by
running
$ strings /usr/local/bin/info
and the only way to adjust it would be to recompile. Is there
anything I'm missing here?
I know that we have the --directory option and the INFOPATH
environment variable, and that's fine and I know how they work, but
I'm looking at working with the default directory itself.
Furthermore, how about examining the full directory path, from within
info, once the --directory options and INFOPATH environment variable
have been processed?
Thanks.
Andrew.
