[GNU tar 1.32] testsuite: 91 210 failed

Hello:

 

The “make installcheck” has vailed on our HP-UX server.

 

I issued these commands:

   Downloaded tar-1.32.tar.gz from https://www.gnu.org/software/tar/

   ftp to /work/gnu on server rqhbdmrxdb

   login to rqhbdmrxdb as “root”

   cd /work/gnu

   gunzip tar-1.32.tar.gz

   cd tar-1.32

   export FORCE_UNSAFE_CONFIGURE=1  (after first ./configure had failed)

   ./configure

   make

   make install

   make installcheck

 

Our HP-UX server details:

Hardware: ia64 hp Integrity rx2800 i4

O/S: HP-UX rqhbdmrx B.11.31 U ia64 2174958632 unlimited-user license

 

Attached is the testsuite.log file.

 

It does seem like the install has worked though, as there is a /usr/local/bin/tar file that I can run successfully with:

/usr/local/bin/tar -tvf /work/gnu/tar-1.32.tar
