Thanks for the feedback.  I realized I could create the wrapper
script shortly after sending the email...  But I'm glad my
proposal was worthwhile.

Yes, currently it is so.

Yes, that's reasonable.  I'll add this to my `todo' list.

For the time being you can use a shell wrapper around ssh, as others
on the list have proposed.
