Subject: [Bug-tar] tar 1.15.1 released

This is a maintenance release fixing an important problem
discovered in recently released version 1.15.

For information on tar, including links to file downloads,
please see the tar web page: http://www.gnu.org/software/tar
and the the project page http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/tar.

GNU tar is available from ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/tar and
the mirror sites worldwide (see http://www.gnu.org/order/ftp.html
for the list of those).

The MD5 checksums of the files are:

d3926848377c01858221d962ca44b4e9 tar-1.15-1.15.1.patch.gz
1a8c1d8e811c02d74ed37e038207d812 tar-1.15.1.shar.gz
57da3c38f8e06589699548a34d5a5d07 tar-1.15.1.tar.bz2
d87021366fe6488e9dc398fcdcb6ed7d tar-1.15.1.tar.gz

If you have already downloaded version 1.15 of the package, you
may wish downloading the patch tar-1.15-1.15.1.patch.gz, instead
of the complete new tarball.

To apply the patch, change to the tar-1.15 directory and then use
`patch -p1'. `-p1' avoids guesswork in choosing which subdirectory
to find each file in.

Noteworthy changes since the last release:

* Unpacking archives piped from standard input now works correctly.
This logic flaw was introduced in version 1.15 and passed unnoticed
the pretesting phase.

Regards,
Sergey
