Some are.  Ironically, not always, or most of time, for the matter, those 
who this regards.  But then these tell others, and the others are like “oh 
I would be offended” (if they would read it).

Also I think if they don’t, it’s more likely because few people take time 
to read manuals, especially info manuals (they pass a lot more time on 
brief --help or man pages), as they’re less advertised, because it’s 
mostly GNU who use them.  That’s likely why I never saw that (and also 
because GNU have a bunch of manuals using “she”, “s/he” or “person”).
