error using patch

Why I have that error?

$ patch --binary --verbose -p1 < 5G_NR_Sidelink_Link 

Level_Simulator.patch_/5G_NR_Sidelink_Link-Level_Simulator.patch

Hmm...  I can't seem to find a patch in there anywhere.
patch: **** Only garbage was found in the patch input.
