[bug-patch] patch and GPLv3 |

Hi Andreas,
The COPYING file in patch is GPLv3 now. I gather from the ChangeLog
that you updated it because of diffseq.h. But it would be good in
general to move patch, like all GNU programs, to GPLv3. Right now, the
notices in all the individual files still say v2 or later. Can you
change the 2's to 3's, please? (And/or use the canonical GPLv3 notice,
which replaces the physical FSF address with a url.)
Also, it would be good to change the --version output to look like this
(no change in the first three lines):
patch 2.6.1
Copyright (C) 1988 Larry Wall

License GPLv3+: GNU GPL version 3 or later <http://gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html>.
This is free software: you are free to change and redistribute it.

Thanks,
