In section 1.6 it would be helpful if you mentioned the fact that
the parted boot disk is not sufficient unto itself, but needs a separate
root disk, per the instructions at
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/parted/bootdisk/README. In retrospect, it should
have been obvious that there would need to be one, but the manual
implied a one disk solution, and got my hopes up. :)
Then again, the document is dated 2002; maybe it was one disk then.
