Bug with harddisk connected with firewire

Hi,

I got the following error message in my console while trying to update 
the partition table of my IDE harddisk connected to the computer with a 
firewire interface :

A bug has been detected in GNU parted.  Please email a bug report to 
address@hidden containing the version (1.6.11) and the following 
message:Assertion (disk != NULL) at disk.c:1037 in function 
ped_disk_next_partition() failed.

I'm using kernel 2.6.10 and the firewire device it attached throught the 
SCSI emulation layer.
