I get a floating point exception when I execute this function. My DVD writer is /dev/hda and I noticed that this only occurs when media is in the drive (regardless of whether or not it is mounted). Running the following command gives me a FPE as well:
tuxstudio:/usr/local # parted /dev/hda print
Warning: Unable to open /dev/hda read-write (Read-only file system). /dev/hda
has been opened read-only.
You found a bug in GNU Parted. Please email a bug report to address@hidden containing the version (1.6.6), and the following message:
The sector size on /dev/hda is 2048 bytes. Parted is known not to work properlywith drives with sector sizes other than 512 bytes
