Backup Restore of configuration using parted |

Hello,
I have miscellaneous questions about parted.
I have an Itanium II machine using a GPT partitionning.
I change this partitionning using dd (a copy the first 256k of another disk)
When I reboot I have a kernel error message :
sdb:<4>GPT:disk_guids don't match.
GPT: Use GNU Parted to correct GPT errors
This error is perfectly normal: with dd I have changed the primary GPT
partitioning but not the alternate/backup GPT partitionnig.
My question is : "Here is a parted command to repair these GPT errors ? Or do I
need to rebuild GPT the partitionnig from scratch"
My second problem is :
I tryed to make a script that reads the output of a "parted /dev/sdb print"
command and recreates the same partitionning on another machine.
Can I recreate any partitionning ?
For example here is a partitionning I created with fdisk
Disk geometry for /dev/sdb: 0.000-34732.890 megabytes
Disk label type: msdos
Minor Start End Type Filesystem Flags
3 0.031 1749.265 primary
4 3482.842 4361.396 primary
I there a set of commands to create this partitioning from parted ?
Thank you for your help
Regards,
Nathalie
