Hello,
Somewhere I read in the documentation a wish for someone to maintain the
boodisk -- maybe I was imagining things.
Either way, I am building an Initrd as forward research for Devil-Linux.Org
(DL) and I am planning to intall parted, as well as grub and even LVM support.
I would also like to replace ISOLINUX w/ grub to give some flexibility to
booting.
The DL Initrd is 8mb... so I will have plenty of headroom. I am supposing
however that a more generic boot suite will fit on two floppies.
I have so far compiled busybox (DL spec) and tinylogin under uClibc. I am
moving in a /dev diretory and self-debating what to do about /etc at the
moment.
The parted bootdisk uses crunchbox, which is vastly bigger than busybox. Maybe
both grub and parted can be compiled w/ uClibc.
DL, btw, needs to be able to optionally boot from floppy, and so far the option
is to use win32 products -- politcally incorrect in many circles including the
Linux Society.
