move command usage

I've just upgraded from 1.2.x to 1.4.24, and I see that the 'move' command
has been added. But there don't seem to be any examples of its use in the
documentation.

Does it just move a partition to an empty bit of disk, or can the new
position overlap the old? (I suspect not because then it would just be the
same as resize -- but this should be mentioned in the documentation). For
ext2/ext3, can the start of the new partition be in a different position
from the start of the old one?
