Both nonfree software and SaaSS can spy on the user, shackle the user, and even attack the user.


I could open the document from the link in Raffaeles mail
with Seamonkey which runs on OS/2 without a problem.
No need for a Google Browser.

You need a model and version of browser supported by Google (and run the nonfree javascript). This is unaceptable for GNU.

Moreover, the document is pure data. It can be published in a standard format in a way that it could be downloaded with anything (for example with wget). I refuse to execute any javascript, free or not, just to get what is advertised as an open standard[1].
