I don't know if this is a bug or user error. Either way I'd appreciate some clarification and if you can a little help in merging files with the --unique option.
I get the error specified in subject when I issue the following command:
c:\unix-utils\sort --unique file1.txt file2.txt file3.txt file4.txt file5.txt file6.txt file7.txt file8.txt file9.txt > unique_file_wordlist.txt
each of the file#.txt contains a list of words, combined, the files are about 2 GB
I'm running on Windows 8, 64 bit, fastest processor, and tons of RAM memory ie 16 GB.
