RE: Missing or unsuitable terminal error with curses 6.5

Hello,

 

Building ncurses 6.5 with –with-caps=aix4 fixed the issue. Thanks for the suggestion.
I would like to understand more about this though. I didn’t encounter any issues with ncurses 6.4.
Any idea why this issue occur with 6.5?

AIX's terminal database (binary) format is different from ncurses (and

Solaris).  Some of the table indices differ.  That happens with a few

systems that I've encountered, so I constructed a table with different

information which "should" work.  See

e.g., --with-caps=aix4

 

which works the same with AIX 5,6,7
