but the justification is pointless, except for people writing hardcoded
scripts. We don't do that here: the terminal description tells what
the terminal actually does, not necessarily what someone would like it to do.

By the way, Linux console has other longstanding non-standard features
which are used in other terminal descriptions (and documented in the
console_codes manpage).
