Actually, I overlooked this (though you had reminded me). Here is what I

a) looking at the configurable preferences settings for keyboard, those
   appear to be the same.

b) those settings do not include the editing keypad...

c) in 10.9, shift-Home and shift-End have (perhaps compiled-in) defaults
for \E[H and \E[F, while the unshifted keys move the window up/down
   in the scrollback.

d) in 10.10, unshifted-Home and unshifted-End have (perhaps compiled-in)
defaults for \EOH and \EOF, while the shifted keys move the window up/down
   in the scrollback.

e) this is for application-mode of course (I used tack to check the entry).

f) the "preconfigured" keys I referred to of course were the ones from the
   preferences dialog.

g) I suppose the difference between 10.9 and 10.10 was another tiny step to
make it more like xterm -- though "infocmp nsterm xterm-new" will show
   why I said "tiny".

Aside from actually fixing bugs, the usual practice here is to treat that
as a new entry. 10.9's is correct...
