I am pleased to announce the release of GNU Moe 1.0.

GNU Moe is a powerful, 8-bit clean, text editor for ISO-8859 and ASCII
character encodings. It has a modeless, user-friendly interface, online
help, multiple windows, unlimited undo/redo capability, unlimited line
length, global search/replace (on all buffers at once), block
operations, automatic indentation, word wrapping, filename completion,
directory browser, duplicate removal from prompt histories, delimiter
matching, etc.

The sources can be dowloaded from http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/moe/ or from
your favorite GNU mirror.

This release is also GPG signed. You can download the signature by
appending ".sig" to the URL.

Changes in version 1.0:

  * The new options "--indent-step" and "--max-windows" have been added.

* The new commands "copyright_update", "find_word", "remove_duplicate_lines", "show_character_code", "to_lowercase" and "to_uppercase" have been added.

  * The new search sequence "1 or more of ch" has been added.

  * The new replace sequences "\l" and "\u" have been added.

  * The search sequences `\w', `\W' have been changed to `\s', `\S'.

  * The new help screen "Character Set" has been added.

  * Tab partially completes filename when more than a name matches.

  * In read-only buffers, space advances a page leaving 1 line of context.

  * "C-s" now shows the percentage of file before the cursor.

  * CR-LF line termination can now be changed from the options menu.

  * In "bufhandle_menu" keys 0 - 9 move cursor to the n/9 th handle.

  * "bufhandle_menu" no more shows blank lines at the bottom.

  * Filenames containing '@' are now correctly shown in file menus.
